We would like to inform you of a recent enhancement to our AWS Kinesis Data Firehose cloudwatch metric integration, which correlates with the utilization of our transform lambda function. Upon thorough analysis, it has been observed that customers leveraging the lambda function might encounter a delay in the transmission of metrics. This effect is more noticeable among customers overseeing a substantial volume of resources. In response, we are introducing an updated version of the lambda function, in conjunction with the corresponding Terraform module update. This update focuses on redefining the resource retrieval process from the AWS API during each invocation. With the updated version, we have introduced a caching mechanism that now refreshes at predefined intervals of 60 minutes. Additionally, several configurable settings have been refined to ensure optimal performance.
